The republic of Kenya is a beautiful country with striking features and classic landscapes. The country’s capital Nairobi is famous for its parks, other parts of Kenya also have rich wildlife safaris, large desert areas, forests, open plains and alpine snows.  Kenya embodies a great deal of Eastern Africa’s natural resources featuring beautiful coral reefs, freshwater lakes and the several tribal cultures. 1.       Mount Kenya:

Mount Kenya after which Kenya was named is the highest mountain in the country and the second highest in Africa after Kilimanjaro. Its peaks are tipped with snow and it slopes covered in green vegetation. This beautiful sight is about 17,057 ft high and is known to be difficult to climb, its lower peaks can be easily accessed.

2.       Malindi:

Malindi offers a beautiful coastal ambiance with its extensive coral reefs and beautiful beaches. Tourists can go snorkelling, surfing, deep sea fishing and enjoy an array of water sports. It is home to a protected park called the Malindi National Park, a domestic airport and a major highway between Mombasa and Lamu.

Tsavo is one of the largest national parks in the world. It was divided into Tsavo West and Tsavo East due to its size, the park has a spectacular scenic view of tropical savannah and continuous volcanic landscape. The park is the perfect destination for tourists seeking to explore wildlife.

4.       Masai Mara National Reserve:

The game reserve is one the major tourist attractions in Kenya and the most popular park in the country. The park is visited by thousands of people yearly who come to watch the annual migration of millions of zebra and wildebeest from the Serengeti in Tanzania. This happens between July and October.

5.       Lamu Island:

The island is a part of the Lamu Archipelago, it is the oldest existing town in Kenya. The island is attractive to tourist as is it a natural unspoiled destination, Lamu Town has retained its primitive form over the years, people move around either by walking or by boat, donkeys are used to move goods. There are no roads on the island, only footpaths and alleyway exist.
